**概要
PS3と360で発売された『ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ』のテーマソング。作中ではスタッフロールで使用された。
ボーカルは洋楽界で有名なアーティスト「ZEBRAHEAD(ゼブラヘッド)」のメンバー。ZEBRAHEAD特有のラップボーカルが使われている。
作曲は本作で初のサウンドディレクターを務めた大谷智哉氏。テーマソングを作曲したのもこれが初となる。
スピード感全開のラップボーカルと、サビの力強いメインボーカルが特徴のソニックらしい痺れるナンバー。歌詞も格好いい。
メインテーマだけあって、作中ではこの曲をアレンジしたものが何曲か使われ、ラスボス戦ではオーケストラバージョンが使用。
大谷氏曰く「コンポーザーとしてはシリーズ担当楽曲至上、最も難産だったかもしれない」とのこと。
その甲斐もあってソニックシリーズのボーカル曲の中でも特に人気が高い。
この曲はゲームで使用されているものとは別にカバーバージョンも作られている。
1つ目はZEBRAHEADのメンバー全員によるアレンジ・演奏した『HIS WORLD(Zebrahead Version)』。
これは「TRUE BLUE:THE BEST OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG」などのアルバムに収録されている。
もう一つは[[瀬上純]]氏がアレンジしたソニックのボーカル曲ではお馴染のCrush40演奏の『HIS WORLD(Crush 40 Version)』。
こちらは「SONIC THE HEDGEHOG VOCAL TRAXX SEVERAL WILLS」のアルバムに収録された。
なお2つとも原曲と比べて歌詞が微妙に異なっている部分がある。
ソニックシリーズ以外でも[[任天堂]]の『[[大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズX]]』にてソニックのステージでこの曲が使用。
ボーカル無しのインストバージョンとなっており、元々は『ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ』のE3の予告編映像で使われたものである。
なお次回作の『[[大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ for Wii U]]』でも引き続きこのインストバージョンが収録された。
