初見難度が高く、チェックポイントが少ないので根気の必要なゲームだが、
アドリブやシビアな操作はほとんど要求されないので
アクションが苦手でも攻略動画などを参考にすれば比較的容易にコンプできるだろう。
進行をセーブすることができず、中断すると頭からやり直しになるが、
一度クリアしたワールドは開始直後に左に進むことでスキップできる。

ワールド１前半最後の赤い敵を先頭に一列に並んだ一団などが狙い目。
・4-Minute Abs
ワールド１がオススメ。
早めに炎の剣を取り最後まで維持する、
ロープは「横ジャンプ→戻りジャンプ」で速く昇れる、
程度を留意していれば、ある程度は安全策をとれるだけの余裕もある。
・What the Hel is "Nar-Nee-Yah"
炎の剣を維持したままで宝箱を３つ開けるごとに出現する
Warrior Spiritを一つ以上所持した状態でワールドをクリアし、
リザルトマップでヴァルキリー像の後ろに開いた出口を通ることで裏面に進入できる。
裏面では死亡するごとにWarrior Spiritを消費し、使い尽くすと表面に強制移動する。
・On the Highway to Hel
ワールド３の緑服のスケルトンの盾にヤリを刺してその上に乗る。
・On the Wings of Glory
ワールド５をWarrior Spiritありでクリアし、
裏ワールド６をクリアすればエンディングＢ。
ワールドスキップ可。
ワールド１の宝をなるべく全部入手してWarrior Spiritを稼ぎ、
いったん「表」ワールド２に進んでワールド５までスキップするのが楽。
・Red Means Dead
エンディングＡを見るにはワールド２～６の全ての裏マップを通ったうえで
ワールド７をクリアする必要がある。
その条件上、ワールドスキップをすることができない。
(タイトルからワールド１の頭までのスキップは問題ない)
・That Was...Unexpected
裏ワールド６でボスFafnirの部屋に入る際に↓を押し続けておく。
ボス戦をスキップできるためエンディングＡ、Ｂを狙う際に重要でもある。
・Viking Legend
10死以内でクリアというと一見困難そうだが、
ワールドスキップ可。
裏面を通る都合上死んでいられないエンディングＡ、Ｂを狙うなら自然に解除される。
