Personal log. Dr. Earl Serrano. The Nexus experiment is ... well, it's incredible! We have discovered two nearly pristine specimens and crews are working around the clock to uncover them. We're learning so much about how these " Necromorphs" communicated. The whole species seems to have been connected by some telepathic signal - from the lowliest foot soldier, to the mightiest specimens! But where is the signal coming from? That is what I intend to find out.

Isaac: Hey. I found the furnace generator. Now I just gotta figure out how to get to the damn thing.

Isaac: Okay, the furnace is on. How's it looking from...

Ellie: Isaac? Are you alright?

• Isaac？大丈夫？

Isaac: Great.

Ellie: Hey, thanks for putting up with Robert. You know he's not been himself.

• ねぇ、Robertの事を我慢してくれてありがとう。貴方も彼が本当はあんな人じゃないって事は知ってるわよね。

Isaac: Ah, Norton just thinks I'm trouble, in a couple of ways. But you need me for the mission, and that's why I'm here. That plus...well...frankly. I hoped there'd be more between...

Norton: Ellie? Is that Isaac? Oh great. Are you two having a nice little chat?

Ellie: Look he just called to say he got the furnace going. He's on his way back now.

• 炉を動く様にしてきたって報告を受けていただけよ。今、彼はその帰り道。

Ellie: Isaac. I'll see you soon.

Santos: Ah, Isaac! The heat exchanges are powered up now but the specimen isn't thawing. Is there something wrong with the mechanism?

• あぁ、Isaac！熱交換は動作し始めたけど標本がまだ溶け出さないの。何かメカニズムに問題があるのかしら？

Isaac: Yeah, I think it's frozen shut. I may be able to work it free by adjusting the pressure in the pipes. Hang on.

• ああ、恐らく凍結してしまっているんだろう。パイプの圧力を調整してやれば動作可能な状態に出来そうだ。待っててくれ。

Isaac: Whoa! I think that did it!

• おっと！これでいいと思うんだが！

Santos: Yes! The internal temperature is rising! And I have more good news!

• ええ！内部温度が上昇してるわ！更にいいお知らせがあるの！

Isaac: What is it?

• 何だ？

Santos: Come up to the Observation Booth! I'll explain on the way! The " Necromorphs" are conduits for the Markers' signals. Well, the researchers build a sensor to track that signal upstream to find the Machine!

• 観測層まで上がってきて！途中で説明するわ！「ネクロモーフ達」はマーカー信号の為の導管なの。科学者達はその信号の上流を辿ってマシンを見つける為にセンサーを作り出したの！

Isaac: So where's the sensor?

• それでそのセンサーはどこにあるんだ？

Santos: Probably destroyed. But! I did find the blueprints to make a new one!

• 多分、破壊されてしまってるわ。でも！新しく作り出す為のblueprintを発見したのよ！

Isaac: I think I know where this is going.

• この話がどこに行き着くか、想像がつくってもんだ。

Santos: Over here! This is the blueprint I was telling you about. I don't see any of the parts necessary to make this sensor... but there's another research warehouse at the other end of the camp. Here's a schematic. What do you think?

• ここよ！このblueprintがさっき話したやつよ。はこのセンサーを作るのに必要なパーツは見当たらなかったわ...でもキャンプの反対側に別の研究倉庫が存在するの。はい、これが設計図よ。ねぇ、どう思う？

Isaac: Hmm, looks like they modified a telemetry spike. I have no idea how it works, but, yeah, I think I can build it with the right parts. Where's the other warehouse?

• ふむ、見た感じだとtelemetry spikeを改造した物のようだな。これがどのような働きをするのか、俺には想像がつかない、だが、うむ。正しいパーツさえあれば俺でも製造する事は可能だろう。その別の倉庫はどこにある？

Santos: I'll put the coordinates in your RIG. It is most likely to be locked down tight. Here, I found these research passcodes when we arrived. They got us into this warehouse. Maybe they will work for the other buildings as well.

• 貴方のRIGに座標を入力しておくわね。厳重に閉鎖されている可能性が高いわ。これを使って。ここに来た時にこれらの研究パスコードを見つけたの。それらを使ってこの倉庫にも入る事が出来たのよ。恐らく他の建物でも使えるんじゃないかしら。

Isaac: Well, we'll find out. Back soon.

Santos: I hope I can piece together enough of this research to find the machine...Wait, why are you still here? I'll be fine.

• この研究をマシンの発見につなげることが私にできることを祈ってるわ...あら、まだいたの？私は問題無いわよ。

エレベーター降下したベンチ前付近にて

Norton?: Okay, geniuses, here's a question; Let's say this stupid experiment works and you find the Machine. Then what? Do you guys even have a clue about "turning it off"?

• よろしい、天才さんたち、質問だ。この馬鹿げた実験が上手く行ってMachineの在処が分かったとする、その後は？お前たちには「スイッチを切る」ための手がかりはあるのか？

Isaac: Well, Admiral Graves referred to a Codex. She said it was the key to controlling the Machine.

• ああ。Graves提督はCodexについて書き残していた。それがMachineを制御する鍵だと。

Ellie: Yes! I've been able to decrypt several of Dr. Serrano's logs and he references someone named "Rosetta" as being instrumental in forging this key.

• そうよ！Serrano博士の記録をいくつか解読したわ、その中で彼は「Rosetta」なる人物について、鍵を造り出す手段になると言及しているの。

Norton: Are you listening to yourselves? You don't know any more about this bullshit than I do!

Isaac: If I can find the parts to make a sensor, we can find the Machine. Then we can figure out this Codex business.

• センサーを造る部品が見つかれば、Machineの在処を探せる。Codexがどう作用するか調べるのはそれからだな。

Norton: Unbelievable.

• まったく、信じられんね。

?: If you are watching this film it means, despite our every precaution, containment has become a necessity. It is now up to us to make the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of the Sovereign Colonies that we have sworn to protect. We understand we cannot expect one-hundred-percent compliance. Therefore, the military arm of this final quarantine campaign will divide into three tiers of soldiers on sweep-and-cleanse duty. The first crew disables all vehicles. The next takes census of the personnel who have obeyed the order, and provides... assistance to those who have not. The last destroys all data, records, and communication structures on Tau Volantis and in orbit. At the end of these tasks, each group will consider their mission objectives complete - and proceed to self-terminate. God bless the Sovereign Colonies and may He have mercy on us all.

Isaac: Whoa. Uh, hey guys? Whatever they were experimenting on here, looks like it got up and took half the warehouse with it.

• ワオ。あー、みんな？連中がここで何の実験をやってたか知らないが、どうやら実験対象が目覚めて倉庫施設の半分を道連れにしていったようだぞ。

Santos: Oh no! What about the sensor parts?

• なんてこと！センサー部品はどう？

Isaac: Three pieces, right? Well, it's a long shot but I'll take a look around.

• 三つ、だな？まあ、望みは薄いが調べてみる。

3つ目のパーツ入手後

Isaac: Alright Santos, I think I've got all the parts.

• よし、Santos。パーツは全部揃ったと思う。

Santos: Excellent! Do you think you can reconstruct it?

• 素晴らしいわ！再構築できそう？

Isaac: I just need to find a Bench and call up the blueprint. Shouldn't be too difficult.

• Benchを探して設計図を見ないとな。そう難しくはないだろう。

スノウビースト撃破後

Isaac: Guys, that beast thing keeps running away before I can kill it.

• おいみんな、あの化け物が殺しきる前に逃げちまうんだが。

Ellie?: Ugh, god, we can't seem to catch a break.

• ああ、神さま、休んでる暇もなさそうね。

Santos?: Well, if the sensor works, we will have the Machine's location.

• ともかく、センサーが機能するなら、Machineの位置は特定できるわね。

Norton: If this planet doesn't kill us first.

Isaac: We'll find it. I'll be back soon.

• 探し出してみせるさ。すぐ戻る。

Isaac: Hey, anyone been out to check the armory?

• おい、誰か武器庫を調べに来てるか？

Santos: No, why?

• いいえ、なんで？

Isaac: Shit, that's what I thought. Someone left a trail of flares and they're still burning.

• クソ、思った通りだ。誰かが発煙筒を残してる、そう昔のことじゃないぞ。

Ellie: Oh god, you don't think Danik and his men...

• なんてこと、Danikたちが来ているとか言わないわよね...

Isaac: I'm going to find out.

• 調べてみる。

Probe Gun作成時

Isaac: Wow, this looks pretty lethal for science equipment. So what do I do with it?

• おお、こりゃ少々科学実験用機器にしちゃ危ないな。それで俺はこいつを使って何をすればいい？

Santos: The research says the scientists took their readings internally. So, I guess we have to pry open the specimen's belly?

• 研究資料によればそれを使って内部から調査していたみたいよ。そうね、標本の腹部をこじ開けないといけないかしら？

Santos: Well, that would explain the harpoon guns.

• うん、ハープーンガンを使えばいいわ。

Isacc: Oh good.

• わかった。

Armory - 武器弾薬争奪戦

• Optional Mission: Armoryを参照のこと。

掘削機に向かうエレベーター内

Norton: Okay. Isaac. I'm done fucking around here. Danik has ships. We can take one. Get out of here. If you care at all about Ellie, you'll do this - for her!

• よろしい。Isaac。もう沢山だ。Danikは艦を持ってる。我々で奪取できる。ここから逃げよう。君がEllieのことしか頭にないなら、こうするべきだ - 彼女のためにな！

Isaac: Haven't you been paying attention? We're the only hope of saving our entire race!

• 話を聞いていなかったのか？俺たちが人類を救う最後の希望なんだぞ！

Norton: There is no hope, Isaac! None! The best we can hope for is to survive and get the hell off this planet!

• 希望なんてない、Isaac！ないんだ！我々が望みうる最上のことはだな、この星からとっとと逃げてなんとか生き延びることなんだよ！

観測層到着

Isaac: Hey guys. I'm back.

• おいみんな。戻ったぞ。

Ellie: Oh thank god.

• ああ、神よ感謝します。

Santos: Did you find the sensor parts?

• センサー部品は見つかった？

Isaac: Yep. I'll use the bench down here to fabricate it, hold on.

• ああ。ここのベンチで組み立てられる、待ってろよ。

Isaac: Let's get inside this thing before I lose my nerve. What needs to happen here?

• 俺が怖じ気づく前にこいつの中に入り込もう。何をする必要がある？

Santos: There's a harpoon gun either side of the upper catwalk. This is likely how they hoisted the stomach open.

• ハープーンガンがキャットウォークの両側にあるわ。これで巻き上げて胃袋を開いていたようよ。

Isaac: Terrific. I'll head up.
