It seems too good to be true--Blackwatch is about to release a cure for the Mercer Virus.

GUERRA: James! I was just about to call you! You won't believe it, but Blackwatch is about to release a cure called "Whitelight." A Commander Gallagher is in charge.
  • ジェームズ！丁度電話しようとしていたところだ！信じられないだろうがブラックウォッチが「ホワイトライト」と呼ばれている治療薬を散布しようとしている。ギャラガー司令官が任務にあたるそうだ。
HELLER: I'll check it out. Thanks, Father.

GUERRA: The thanks goes to you, James. You've reminded me of what humanity can do.

SOLDIER: Red Crown, this is Cottonmouth Two One. We spotted Heller. Now he's chasing Gallagher, and ... and Gallagher's infected.
  • レッドクラウン、こちらコットンマウス21。ヘラーを補足した。現在ギャラガーを追っているようだが・・・ギャラガーも感染していた。
RED CROWN: Copy, Cottonmouth Two One. Reconfirm Gallagher's status. Over.

SOLDIER: We have two Infected on the move! Heller and Gallagher!

SOLDIER: Red Crown, now they're throwing cars! We've got major civilian casualities! What the fuck do we do?

GALLAGHER: You're no better than these humans!

GALLAGHER: You have no idea what you're in the middle of!

GALLAGHER: So, you're saying the Whitelight can ... mutate?
  • その、つまりホワイトライトというのは――変異できると？
SCIENTIST: No, no, it's highly mutable. It doesn't change on its own, but we can change it!

GALLAGHER: All right ... into what?

SCIENTIST: You're not getting what I'm saying. It doesn't change into other things. But it can take on additional properties. Do things in addition to what it was designed to do.

GALLAGHER: So you're saying we can give it, what, new side effects?

SCIENTIST: Sure. Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying.

HELLER: Now we gonna do some real damage.

HELLER: Now that's some motherfuckin' gratuitous violence right there.

HELLER: Father. That commander from the Whitelight program ... turns out he was one of Mercer's Evolved.

GUERRA: Evolved? What would they want with a cure for the virus?
  • Evolved？ウィルスの治療薬がどうしてそうなるんだ？
HELLER: No clue. The one thing that can take down the Infected ... and Mercer's protecting it. Doesn't make sense. Gotta figure this shit out before it's too late.
  • わからない。Infectedを倒せる物...そしてMercerがそれを守っている。意味が分からない。手遅れになる前に解き明かすぞ。
