This is a tournament hosted by volunteer Japanese tetris players.
Anyone who fullfils all the following requirements can apply for participation:
1. Has an account on Tetris Friends
2. Has an account on NicoNico Douga
This tournament is usually held irregularly, and the date will be informed by the host of tournament beforehand, on the official websites:

General Notes
Should it be your first time to apply for participation, make sure you understand the rules so as to be allowed to join the tournament.
The host accepts no application if one is unfamiliar with the rules.
Your rank starts from "one dan", meaning "first grade" or "first level", upon the first participation.
You can only join a tournament belong to your level.
For example, if you are one dan, all you can participate is a one-dan tournament, not a two-dan, three-dan, four-dan, five-dan, or six-dan one.
Please do pay attention to the official websites to be informed which dan of a tournament is going to be held.
Application Procedure
Notice that watching the live streams is mandatory for you to join the tournament.
A tournament lasts four or five live streams, where every live streams lasts 30 minutes.
In the four-stream scenario, you may join the tournament before the 2nd stream ends.
In the five-stream scenario, you may join the tournament before the 3nd stream ends.
If you want to join the tournament, just comment on the live stream with the format:
参加希望@Your_Tetris_Friends_ID
You are done once you see the host adds you to the roster.
Matching Procedure
The host makes matches in every live stream except for the last one.
Before the match
The host will choose an opponent for you with the help of the program.
Pay attention to where you are on the roster; if you are on the left side, you shall create a room with the following settings:
1. Non-ranked
2. No maps
3. No items
4. Expert+
5. Spectators allowed
Then wait for your oppoent to join the room and fight against him/her.
For one to four dan players, first to 7 (No deuce).
For five to six dan players, first to 10 (No deuce).
After the match
The winner shall report the result to the host.
Rating System
Your point starts from zero.
You earn 1 point when defeating your opponent.
You lose 1 point when defeated by your opponent.
But in one dan matches, you don't lose points even if you lose the match.
You rank up when you have +3 points.
You rank down when you have -3 points.
Once you rank up or down, your point resets to zero and you don't have next match.
Most of the hosts cannot speak English well.
It would be a great help if you talk in Japanese or simple English.
