"Omicho Market" started from a rest house of Kaga Clan in 1721 when the local lord go for falconry. The market is crowded with local people always as a kitchen for the local. Since many shops are not damaged by World War 2, they have antique atmosphere.
There are many small shops where they sell local ingredients, such as fresh see food, vegetables and fruits. Small alleys lie between shops are like a labirynth. Especially, quality of see food is excellent and beyond comparison.
If you have time to stroll around the market during your stay in Kanazawa, I recommend you to visit by noon before the goods are sold out.
