Located two-hour drive away from Kanazawa, Tsukumowan bay is one of the most beautiful scenic spot in Noto Peninsula. Tsukumo means ninety nine in Japanese, since complex ria shoreline shapes dozens upon dozens of small bay.
In the center of the bay, there is the Horaijima Island enshrining Sarasvati, the goddess of water.
A small ryokan (traditional Japanese style inn), "Hyakurakuso" is located in there facing Tsukumowan Bay. It is advisable to take a couple of days for relaxing at there.
