Good afternoon everyone. My name is ******. I belong to ******* and work for digital circuit design. Today I will introduce my teacher’s favorite phrase in university. That phrase is “ farm it in your head!” It means to keep things you hear, read, and learn as many as possible is very important, though you can’t understand it now.

While back, I have finished to read a book "Information -The New Language of Science-". This is about between connection of science history and information, and its frontier and future. The title seems to be very difficult, but this is reading material without mathematical formula. Please read, if you are interested in. But there is one difficult concept. It is “Qubit” short for quantum bit.

Do you know the word “bit”? Most of you know it of course. A bit express “0” or “1”. All digital circuit consists of bits. Bit is basic element of digital circuit and information. But this book says “all thing in the world” also consists of bits, basic element of the world is bit. This expression seems to be too largeness or incorrect concept. But in advanced quantum mechanics and information engineering, this might be true. Year 2020, physical limit will come, so we will have to use quantum computer and Qubit instead of bit. Qubit is new concept to express information. A bit express “0” or “1”, but a Qubit express “0” and “1”. Can you understand it? I can’t now. But if I can’t understand it, I can’t design digital circuit in 2020 only 14 years later.

Qubit might be an example, and I will face similar situation like this. Many new concept and technology will come out everyday. And I remember the phrase “ farm it in your head!”. This also means “everything you learned is necessity”.

I’m still in the early days of my engineer life. So, with this phrase I want to keep challenging and learning various things to design good one.

Thank you.

Good afternoon everyone. My name is ******. I belong to ******, in charge of digital circuit design. Today I will introduce my university teacher’s favorite phrase, “ Caltivate it in your own brain!” It means that it's important to keep as many things as possible that you heard, read and learned, even though you couldn't understand them at the time.

Recently, I read a book titled "Information -The New Language of Science-". This is about the linkage between science history and information, its frontier and future. The title seems to be very difficult, but this is a conceptual reading material without using mathematical formulas. Please try the book if you become interested in the subject. But be careful, there is a very difficult concept called the "Qubit”.

Do you know a word “bit”? Most of you may know it of course. A "bit" expresses either “0” or “1”. All digital circuits consist of bits. The bit is a basic element of digital circuit and information technology. But that book says “all things in the world” also consists of bits, basic element of the world is the bit. This expression seems to be an incorrect concept and sounds exaggerated. But in the advanced quantum mechanics and information technology, that concept can be true.

In the year 2020 when the computer science faces the physical limitation, we will have to use quantum computers built on a new element of "Qubit" in place of the bit now. The "Qubit" is a new concept to express information. While a "bit" expresses either “0” or “1”, the "Qubit" expresses both “0” and “1”. Do you understand it? I can’t now. But in the year 2020, 14 years from now, the difficult concept should be a common and usual knowledge among digital design engineers.

"Qubit" is just an example, and I will have to face a similar situation like that. Many new concepts and technologies will be created as time goes. And I remember the phrase “Caltivate it in your own brain!”. This also means “everything you learned will be useful someday ”.

I’m still on my early stage to develop my carrier as an engineer. So, with this phrase in mind, I will continue challenging and learning various things to become a good engineer.

Thank you.

Good afternoon everyone. My name is ******. I belong to ******, in charge of digital circuit design. Today I would like to introduce a favorite phrase of my professor in university, he used to say“ Cultivate it in your own brain!" It means that it's important to keep as many things as possible that you heard, read and learned, even though you couldn't understand them at the time.

Recently, I read a book titled "Information -The New Language of Science-". This is about the linkage between science history and information, its frontier and future. The title seems to be pretty difficult, but this is a reading material without using mathematical formulas, with easy examples. Please try the book if you become interested in the subject. But be careful, there is a very difficult concept called the "Qubit”.

But in the advanced quantum mechanics and information technology, this concept could be true. The detail of this concept is written in this book and other many books.

"Qubit" is just an example, and I will have to face a similar situation like this. Many new concepts and technologies will be created as time goes. And I remember the phrase “Cultivate it in your own brain!” This also means “everything you learned could be useful in any situation”. I’m still on my early stage to develop my carrier as an engineer. Therefore, with this phrase in mind, I will continue learning and challenging various things to develop the best products.

Thank you.
