A new theme park opened in Florida in 1990, close to the famous Walt Disney World. It was designed by Steven Spielberg. You can meet famous movie characters and enter the world of movies there. The opening of the park surprised many people, since there was already a popular park designed by George Lucas in Walt Disney World. This was a new kind of movie war between Lucas and Spielberg.
The two director-producers of American movies, however, are not only strong rivals. They are good friends as well. They both grew up and became interested in movies under the influence of Walt Disney. In a way the parks they created were their own versions of Disneyland.
