Thank you for registering your OUTDOOR SOCCER team in the McGill Intramural Program. This email serves as confirmation of your team's entry into the OUTDOOR SOCCER league.
Intramural Outdoor Soccer games will be played on the following days and times :
Monday - Friday 17:30-23:30 Molson Stadium & Forbes Field
Saturday & Sunday 09:00-23:00 Molson Stadium & Forbes Field
Should your team know in advance that it is unavailable to play on certain dates or at certain times (ie. classes, religious holidays, etc.), please contact the coordinator - Marco Pantanella
mpanty@yahoo.com - no later than 20:00 on Tuesday, September 11. The coordinator will do his best to accomodate your requests.
The regular season schedule will be available on the McGill Athletics Website www.athletics.mcgill.ca by Thursday, September 13. As the captain, it is your responsibility to know the day and time of your first game. We strongly suggest that you make an email distribution list of your team members and forward them the website address, along with any future communications from the coordinator.
McGill Intramural Soccer has 6 divisions:
Men's A : Advanced level of play
Men's B : Intermediate level of play
Men's C : Novice level of play (no playoffs)
Women's A : Advanced level of play
Women's B : Intermediate level of play
Women's C : Novice level of play (no playoffs)
Please reply to this email if you would like to change the division that you registered for. In the interests of fair play and friendly competition, please be sure that your team is registered in a division that reflects its calibre. The Campus Recreation office reserves the right to move teams that are in inappropriate divisions.
The McGill Intramural Program is open to McGill students. Staff and alumni are eligible to participate, however, they must purchase a 2-month Sports Complex membership. Upon purchase, they will be issued a membership card which must be shown to the timer prior to the start of each game.
League play will begin on Saturday, September 15 . Please inform your teammates to arrive at the game site 15 minutes prior to the start time. Defaults due to lateness will be strictly enforced. Furthermore, participants in the Intramural program must show their McGill ID card to the scorekeeper prior to start of the game. Individuals who fail to do so will not be permitted to participate.
EXCEPTION :
If a participant has lost their McGill ID card, they will be allowed to play if the following conditions are met:
1. They arrive to the game with a fee printout from Minerva indicating that they have paid their athletics fees for the semester, and a photo id with the name matching that on the Minerva statement.
2 . The participant must then report to the Campus Rec office within 2 working days and show the Intramural Coordinator their new ID card. Failure to do so will result in the team forfeiting the game which the player participated in and may result in further disciplinary action against the participant.
Prior to your first game, you and your team members should read :

2. The INTRAMURAL OUTDOOR SOCCER RULES
Both documents are available on the McGill Athletics Website at the address noted above. There are important rules, guidelines and procedures that govern the operation of the intramural program. As team captain, it is your responsibility to be familiar with the contents of the handbook. Requests that do not follow the established protocol outlined in the handbook will not be accepted.
