ひとこと

アガサ・クリスティーの「非・推理小説」です。
クリスティーの推理小説は小さい頃から多数読んできましたが、本作は日経WOMANの読書特集でたまたま知った１作。長らく積読状態でしたが本日手にとって１日で読了。
アガサ・クリスティーって不当に評価が低い気がしますが、こういう小説が書けるんだからやっぱり素晴らしい才能だと改めて思いました。
とにかく“ひんやり”とした“じわじわ”くる怖さがなんとも言えません。そして栗本薫氏の解説もまさにすとーんと腹に落ちる「解説」で、ひさびさによい一冊に巡り合った気がしました。
なぜか…小学生の時に初めて見た「風と共に去りぬ」を思い出しました。全然違う話なんだけどね。
