Sakiko and Rin left the movie theater, walked for a while and bought ice cream in a fast food shop just before the closing time. They sat down on the rim of the flower bed at side of the road. Sakiko faced the road while Rin the flower bed oppositely directed to each other. They ate ice cream stretching out legs forward.
There were several shrubs in the flower bed. Rin finished ice cream and put the empty cup on an end of a twig.
"It looks like a flower from cars."
"It looks a little unreasonable."
"Then, does it look like a flower mostly?"
"It does only a little."
Sakiko put the cup on an end of a twig as Rin did. The light of the fast food shop through the glass wall was melting into the dark. A whitish light thinned with night darkness hung over the limited space on the sidewalk. The bluish hem of light where darkness was strong drifted slowly.
Tadashi said that he would pass along scaffold board to bring mandarin oranges to the building under construction. Sakiko felt inclined to mention his unsure steps. If Rin does not heed the local superstition, her manner would show no signs of being upset. Lowering her eyes and making a sort of gasp would reveal the superstition has affected her way of thinking.
Sakiko's home is located at the toe of horseshoe shaped narrow way stretching from the street. They got off the car at the entrance of the narrow way, for it could not advance into the handle of the bag. "Of course no one can go in there," Rin gave an impulsive cry. "It is a metaphor. This road bends as if it were a handle of a bag." Sakiko explained. "I know it," laughed Rin.
"When a city ran a campaign to attract tourists, a catch phrase for the poster was queer," Rin looked at a stark wall and said.
"What's that?" Sakiko asked.
"Easy to go, hard to live." Rin answered in her sweetest voice.
What is the city hard to live? Only limited curious persons still will want to visit there after hearing such confession of a resident.
"Why was this copy made?" Rin's clear voice inquired.
"I don't know. Are there any hints?"
"A hint?" Rin cast a seeking glance on her own mind and said, "They provided the copy on the phone."
In fact, they intended to emphasize the city is hard to leave. They took leaving for living. It is unlikely. You should find it wrong soon but no one noticed before the poster had been finished.
