For both two fishes, the body near the lower jaw was missing, and the bone was exposed. Since they were unreliable, she had to pay careful attention especially when she held the dorsal fins in her hands with her arms spread. Then, two fishes were jolted and began to move ahead in the lake, followed by her.
He had gone to his alma mater as a practice teacher after graduation. He had a fearful experience in the short period of about two weeks.
It was the third day of the training period. The chime rang the end and he
got to come back through the corridor to the staff room with Ms. Arai whose
lesson he had observed.
"Attend my nephew's wedding, please."
He was surprised since she invited him as if she conveyed a message to make
sure that he doesn't fail to be in time for tomorrow's morning gathering. It
was after he graduated from the high school that Ms. Arai arrived in her
current post. It meant that he has just met her. It was the third day more
exactly. Much less, he did not know her nephew at all.
"Are other teachers also to come?" He checked it in a prudent tone.
"Nobody comes." She spat out.
He was not able to go to sleep easily that day. He couldn't describe how it would be awkward, but it was thought that it is not good for him to go forward over other teachers.
On the next day, he declined politely. It was a chat which buttonholed Ms. Arai at the main entrance.
"It's all right." She seemed not to be worried, "Do you go to
the gymnasium?"
"Yes," he replied.
He was attending the basketball club to which he is an old boy. It was the
basketball club that was to use the gymnasium that day.
"Then please hand a visitor this." Ms. Arai
stooped down to pick up a pair of scuffs.
