U.S. President Barack Obama has condemned North Korea's nuclear test.

"North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs pose a grave threat to the peace and security of the world and I strongly condemn their reckless action. North Korea's actions endanger the people of Northeast Asia. They are a blatant violation of international law and they contradict North Korea's own prior commitments. Now, the United States and the international community must take action."

Obama added that the United States would continue to work with member countries in the six-party talks on North Korea.

アメリカのバラク・オバマ大統領は、北朝鮮の核実験を非難しました。

「北朝鮮の核および弾道ミサイル計画（核兵器開発計画）は、世界の平和と安全に深刻な脅威をもたらすもので、この無謀な行動を強く非難する。北朝鮮の行動（核実験）は東アジアの人々の安全を脅かすものであり、国際法に違反しているだけでなく北朝鮮自らが以前示した公約とも矛盾している。今こそアメリカと国際社会は行動を起こさなければならない」

オバマ大統領はまた、アメリカが６か国協議を通じて北朝鮮問題に対処していく方針であることも明らかにしました。
