"se traiter"は行動に伴う困難さを主張するために使われる。また、「もめる」という意味を持つこともある。
I can only think of two possible uses for reflexive form of "traiter"
1) call each other names, just as katiem515 said. It is most of the time used with a complement (se traiter d'idiots / de fainéants, etc.).
I actually heard it without complement in the sense of "to argue" (avec ma femme on se traite souvent à cause de ça -> me and the wife often argue about that). It sounds very spoken, low-middle class.
2) "se" used as a familiar way to insist on the difficulty/importance of an action (je me traite mes 50 dossiers par jour -> I am handling a mere 50 files a day).
