エデンプロジェクトはネパール政府に正式に登録されている現地のクリスチャンＮＧＯであるＭＣＤＳ（多目的地域開発事業）のプロジェクトの一つです。首都カトマンズで発足してから３年半が経過しました。
身の回りの環境をきれいにすること、利用できるごみは捨てずに資源として有効利用することなど、市民のごみ問題に対する意識を高めることを目的としています。
主な活動は、生ごみ堆肥づくり、プタスチックごみを利用したクラフト作り、再生紙作り、定期的な清掃活動、排水処理事業などです。
これらの活動を通し、住民自身が態度と考え方を変えていくことが、最終的なゴールです。
私たちは、「地球規模で考え、足もとから始める」をモットーに掲げています。

EDEN Project is a part of Multipurpose Community Development Service (MCDS), a registared local Christian NGO in Nepal.
It has been working for 3 and a half years in the Capital, Kathmandu, to raise city dwellers' awarenss about keeping their own environment clean and using the wastes as resources.
Main activities are: Making compost from kitchen wastes, making plastic handicrafts from used plastic bags, making paper handicrafts from recycled used papers, regular cleaning campaign, buiding drainage in slum area, etc.
Changing people's attitude and mind through these activities is its main goal.
Out motto is "Think globally, act locally."
