Have you ever thought that it is a miracle that there is a tomorrow? What would you do after hearing the expected date of your death? Today, I recommend the movie, which is entitled ”The Bride Expected to Live One Month.” It is a thought-provoking movie about this topic.
The heroin is a girl, who is twenty-four years old, has a breast cancer. Knowing it, she starts to go out with her boyfriend, 'Taro.' A few weeks later, she is told that she has to remove her breasts. As a result, she disappears from him. However, he persuades her to live with him, and she accepts. After that, she is diagnosed to live for only one month. She hopes to send messages to show how important breast cancer screening is and how fabulous being alive is. Despite of her pain, she is interviewed by the TV media as many times as possible. Her friends and Taro throw a wedding party for her, and then she dies.
I was impressed by her strong will and action. Although she knows her limited life expectancy, she makes strong effort to convey her message about breast cancer. It makes Japanese women know how important cancer screening is.
In summary, I recommend this movie and hope you take time to think about your life.
