Strategies for Levels

Strategies for Levels

Level 1-20

First, see the guide to the First 14 Days In-game. Select a weapon and armour from the armoury and request them. I would recommend choosing a weapon that has +75% experience and gold gains. These weapons will help you to level up quickly as they give you bonus experience and gains against NCP monsters. The weapons that show -75% are more powerful and should only be used for PvP. Who you plan to fight will dictate which one you choose to use. If you want to level up quickly, choose the one that gives you the experience gains and battle the NCP monsters. If you want to beat other players around your level, choose the more powerful weapon. The basic weapons in the armoury (those without upgrades) should be used when you don’t wish to level up (when you are training your stats to 850:850, for example).

Note - You will not get bonus gold or experience when fighting other players

Level 20 and 14 Days Old

At level 20 I would recommend using all your energy at each reset to train your stats to 850 Agility and 850 Strength. It will take about 6 months but it is well worth putting the time in now. Once you are level 10 the Legend Stone unlocks Medium Training and this is the one you should use to train. Training in the Clan Castle will give you a 5% bonus each time and help you reach max stats a little quicker. After training you will have a few energy left over to battle each day. Have a look at the scenario below to understand why maxing stats early is important.

Player 1 maxes stats at level 100 (850:850)
Player 2 maxes stats at level 20 (850:850)
Player 3 maxes stats at level 10 (850:850)

Now the players stop training and start to level up. Each time you level up you get an additional 1 Strength and Agility point.

Player 1 at level 200 (950:950)
Player 2 at level 200 (1030:1030)
Player 3 at level 200 (1040:1040)

Players who stop leveling early in the game and train will be stronger and quicker later on.

Some people stop leveling as soon as Medium Training opens at level 10 and max stats from there. It means they will have an extra 10 Strength and Agility points when they max their stats but it also means they have missed out on the opportunity outlined below.

At 14 days you are now old enough to head out into the countryside and have the level required (20) to access the Pawn Shop in Silver Meadows. Before going into the countryside make sure that you buy some elixirs from the Witch in Rydar Street in Black Dale. If you get killed in the countryside without elixirs you will stay dead until the next reset. Sometimes the Witch is not there so you may need to go back later. When you buy your elixirs, try and buy 50 to start with. After you’ve made the journey a few times you’ll get a feel for how many you think you need but it’s best to have too many to start with. Also, put your money in the bank before you set out. If you are killed in the countryside you will lose some money.

Silver Meadows is located at (25,25). Go to the Pawn Shop and buy gems, Nectar and Mythril at a discount. The first time you use the shop you need to pay but this is a one off. I don’t remember how much you have to pay but if you’ve been mining for a couple of weeks, you will have enough. The prices in the shop change sometimes but the Nectar and Mythril are usually available for less than the Black Dale market price. You can make a good profit by buying at the Pawn Shop and selling on the market. The gems in the shop are usually more expensive than on the market so I wouldn’t worry too much about them. The exception is the Crystals but check the market before you go.

The Pawn Shop also enables you to buy Opals. Opals are used to increase your Race Level. I would recommend that you use your profits from trading to buy Opals. You will also get Opals from battling NPC monsters and may get them from gambling on the Key Wheel in the Casino but buying them at the Pawn Shop is the most reliable way to obtain them. Buy as many Opals as you can each day and save them until you have finished maxing stats.

At this point you may decide to start keeping the resources you get from mining or you may choose to continue selling them. I would suggest starting to keep your Nectar. You can convert Nectar into Lucky Charms, which apparently increase your chances of good luck at the Shadow Church. It takes 10 Nectar and 10,000 gold to make one Lucky Charm. Some people say they are not worth it, some say you need between 11 and 13. Some people have lots, some only a few. Nectar is also use to unsoul Mythril weapons. If you buy a second hand Leviathan Blade you will need 50 Nectar to unsoul it. If you want a new Leviathan Blade, keeping your mining gains is a good way to start saving Mythril, which you need to buy it. If you want the clan to loan you an LB, you don’t need to worry about all that.

If you haven’t already, you might want to start fishing. Once you get a level 10 Fishing Boat and Rod you can pull in 10 to 13 million gold a day. Farming is another option but the returns are not nearly as good and you have to remember to harvest on the right day to get the best yield.

Finally, join the Shadow Church and touch the Wraithblde twice after each major and minor reset. Save your Faith Points until you have maxed stats.

Level 20 and Max Stats

You are now born again hard! If you’ve done all of the above you are level 20 (850:850) with thousands of accumulated AP points and about 6,000 Opals. Time to start leveling. Before you do, however, convert your AP to either extra Strength, Agility, HP or a mixture of all three (personally I would recommend all on Agility) and convert your Opals to 6 Master Opals and rank up to Race Level 3.

Select an NPC weapon from the Armoury and battle the NPC monsters in Black Dale with all your energy. You will be at level 40 in a matter of days. Remember to keep voting for AP and use it as you will. Again I would recommend using it on Agility.

Level 40 – 200

Get yourself a Leviathan Blade. Purchase one yourself or borrow one from the Clan.

At level 150 you will be able to equip Race Armour 1 (RW1). We’ll talk to you about that later as they are expensive and the clan cannot guarantee to provide one free of charge. If we can’t get one for you, we will contribute to the cost of your purchase should you want one.

Also at level 150 you can equip the Omega Blade or equivalent. This is a great weapon for PvP. Again we can discuss providing this closer to the time you need it.

300+

Training time again. More details on this to follow.
