"Dean's Own" is a light brown, dry, fine-grained snuff that has a plain tobacco flavor with no thrills or frills. Although dry, it is not as dry as a HDT. It is similar to McCrystal's SP only with even less scent and moisture. I really like the rich scent and taste, but can't place it as anything other than pure tobacco. The smell reminds me a little of saddle leather. I reckon nicotine and MOHAR to be mid-range per pinch. It could be a big favorite of mine if there was more moisture in it. If you like pure tobacco, and can handle a dry snuff, you should enjoy this one.
