Macouba's flavor identity comes from: Sandalwood Oil, Rose, Musk, Geranium Bourbon & Tonquin. The tobacco found in Macouba areZimbabwe Flue Stem, Dark Fired & Sun Cured Leaf.

Macouba is for me what I call a "treat" snuff. It's too rich for me to snuff every day, but it's really nice to have once in a while. The aroma is strong and lasts a long time, meaning you'll have to use less than other snuffs. One other nice feature is that it comes in the F&T snuff containers, which are the best on the market. They keep the snuff fresher than any other.

This is a really good snuff with a pretty heavy perfume, but one that I cannot say enough good stuff about! I remember reading that someone thought it smelled like Christmas, and I have to agree. It doesn't burn, and it's easy to take over and over again. I usually have a can or two on hand when I need a good boost.

Macouba has a wonderful perfumy scent that stays with you for a long time. The smell reminds me on roses, but you can sense the other scents as well, they sort of make the snuff more "fresh". A really nice blend. I recomend everyone to try it. However, it's very perfumy so maybe it's not that much for those of you who prefer milder flavoures snuffs.

This snuff is a moist somewhat course grind that is very dark brown in color. It is flavored with several essences, but the most dominant seems to be the Sandalwood, which gives it a citrus-like aroma and flavor. It lasts for several minutes in the nostril before another pinch is needed. I would rate it as a fairly mild snuff, one that would be very suitable for new snuffers. I like it very much and currently it is one of my top three snuffs, one that always goes along when I travel. Another nice advantage is the F&T container, with the screw on lid and tight seal that keeps the snuff fresh for a long time. If rating it on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a very solid 8. F&T snuffs cost a little more, but their quality is worth it.

Wow, this one has a very strong perfumy scent! However, I do enjoy a pinch now and again; but it's not an all day snuff for me. It does have a very complex aroma and flavor. Like a lot of F&T brands, the flavor is long lasting...I can still taste trace amount of this snuff as long as 2 hours after taking a pinch! The sandalwood and the rose essence come out the most, but there are other subtler aromas. They all combine for a very unique (taste) experience. This snuff leaves a deep groove in my olfactory memory, where it associates itself with certain activities and times of the year. During those times, I crave a pinch of F&T Macouba. The texture is medium-coarse and semi-moist, and it is easy to take large amounts. The nicotine content is not as much as in Old Paris, as I have yet to feel queasy from a session with this snuff. I'd recommend that everyone try this one at least once; it is a very unique snuff.
