I'm new to snuff, so you might have to kind of interpret what I'm saying here into more technical jargon. I'm still not sure what a smashbox is and other words, but I'm going to give this review process a try. I'm writing as objectively as I know how.

This is one of the first snuffs I tried, and I immediately found it intriguing and easy to take for a beginner like myself. It is, of course, very dry. The grind seems course to me, like tiny little pebbles that do not stick together at all. The flavor comes from Neroli oil, aka bitter orange tree essence. Neroli oil is very expensive, rare, and hard to produce a lot of it. I have heard it takes one thousand pounds of flowers to make one pound of Neroli oil.

Neroli oil is reported to have antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, sedative, and tonic effects, among several others. I would say my impression of taking snuff with Neroli oil is that it does indeed make me feel very calm and content, very pleasant. Although it comes from the "bitter" orange tree, there is nothing bitter about the flavor of GH Dry Orange. This snuff is NOT sweet at all, but it's certainly not bitter. I wouldn't even say it reminds me of oranges. Bitter orange essence is very different and unique. The snuff induces a most pleasant impression of neutrality and relaxation and good quality.

Giving GH Dry Orange a try makes me want to try other snuffs with Neroli oil. I was impressed enough to order two more 10 gram boxes so I can have plenty of this stuff on hand.

Lastly, as with the other GH products, the box is very nice. It has a pull-out tab that locks back in the open position. It's easy to tap out a pinch without spilling any. I like the GH boxes better than the McChrystals. When I got my last order, my McChrystals Violet had actually opened, and the snuff spilled out all over the place into the cardboard box.
