McChrystal's English Menthol is another fine medicated offering from this manufacturer. Like McChrystal's Original and Genuine, English Menthol features the brand's trademark medium-fine grind and very lightly moist moisture level. The snuff is a shade lighter than the O&G, being a medium brown rather than a richer, darker brown, and is quite strongly flavored with menthol and eucalyptus. Slight hints of the typical McC's tobacco flavor peek through, but I was only able to discern them due to my familiarity with unmentholated McC's snuffs, such as their SP.

If you're used to the cool, easy, forgiving coolness of the O&G, be careful or this will freeze your face—while burning your sinuses. It is heavily medicated, with comparatively more menthol and much more eucalyptus, even though it is lacking camphor. Flavor-wise, this is about as strong as Wilson's SM 500, but doesn't have quite as much nicotine. I do, however, prefer McC's tobacco flavor (and cute little tins!) to Wilson's, but also the Wilson's is more easily obtainable and cheaper (and these are so heavily medicated that the tobacco flavor, as I mentioned, is barely detectable).

Overall: A tasty snuff if you like your "mentholyptus" strong and your nicotine, moisture and grind moderate.
