This is a good snuff if you forget the name because it won't live up to it. It has a nice creamy scent with a light light light coffee tone that is barely noticeable. But as a snuff, it is a good snuff, just don't expect an irish coffee scent. The scent is more like an Iced Coffee after all the ice has melted & the coffee is diluted.

This is a medium brown snuff that is medium fine in grind. The tin aroma is pleasant, although I don't really think it smells much like coffee. It is more of a roasted, nutty scent. However, upon snuffing, I definitely can smell the coffee, and this is coupled with a bit of tobacco flavor. The coffee scent is surprisingly strong, and maintains for a good five minutes or so. I don't find anything disagreeable about this snuff, but it isn't going to become one of my favorites. To me, it lacks depth, I get this same flavor in the morning sticking my nose in my coffee mug. I think a snuff should have more to offer than one dimensional representation of a common flavor like coffee. Also, I don't want coffee all day long, so snuffing this at certain times of the day when I wouldn't want a cup of joe feels wrong, like I'm intentionally tasting something I know I don't want. I don't want to sound too negative, because this is a quality snuff, and the coffee flavoring is very well done, I just find it a bit boring to be honest. Not an all day snuff for me, but for after dinner it's nice, and for you coffee junkies out there, this may be just what you were looking for.
As an aside, the name of this snuff is Irish Coffee, not Coffee. I don't find any hint of whiskey as the name would imply, which would liven up the snuff considerably in my opinion. Whatever happened to truth in snuff advertising...

I know this is an old post to dredge up but I really love this snuff. I got a tin in my first order from snuffshop.com. I should also point out that I love coffee. Smarvy is right, I think this snuff would be better named cafe latte than Irish coffee. It has a powerful scent of coffee along with a dominant scent of real cream. It smells and taste like a strong coffee with heavy cream. The taste isn't overpowering you can still tell it's tobacco, but there is no ammonia to it, or any fermented smell. The tobacco used may have had a faint scotch to it before it was flavored, but you can't tell. The taste is really distinct but not powerful, and reasonably long lasting. Because i do drink so much coffee I could easily imagine this as an all day snuff. I had a craving for a pinch at several points throughout the day. As far as color/texture/moisture, this snuff seems just like the other Wilson's I've seen.

I'm with Samorost and spondatious on this one. I didn't find anything terrible about it but there is nothing about it that calls me back to it either. Seems almost flavorless. Take several pinches in a row and nothing. I don't smell coffee, I don't smell whiskey, nothing. Perhaps I'll try bob's idea and try to give it some whiskey flavor by adding a few drops, I don't think I have anything to lose by trying.

For me this was not a bad snuff at all, BUT there was a disappointment in the coffee area . The coffee was very very light & seemed to come and go. I didn't pick up any of the coffee scent until about a minute or so passed. The only time I really picked up any recognizable coffee scent was the after-blow. And even then it was very weak. This would benefit from adding some Kahlua flavor which is a coffee flavored liqueur. But as a snuff, its pretty good.
