I have a love/hate relationship with this snuff. I tend to fall back on it a bit when my O&G supply runs dry, I think because it seems to me to be the exact same base tobacco as O&G, just with the anisette flavoring rather than the O&G cocktail. That being said however, I quickly tire of the anise flavor, but I like the punch of it, especially when compared to other non-medicated snuffs. I would never have ordered any, but a mistake from an online retailer provided me with 12 tins of it in place of the Highland Ice I had ordered, and I was too damn lazy to mail them back to the UK for replacement. I agree with you though Asterisk that if you like Pernod, you will like this snuff, as it is obviously quality tobacco, and it is my favorite grind/moisture combination, the same as the O&G. This snuff is a dichotomy for me. It's almost like every time I snuff it, I have a little internal debate about whether I actually like it or not. I guess I must like it well enough since I keep taking it, but maybe that's the nicotine... As an aside, my non-snuffing friends seem to like it when I use it as they can smell the anise (it's that strong) and like the scent. Ah well, the vagaries of my snuffing pleasures are what make this hobby so enjoyable for me, so snuffs like these will always have a place in my humidor (an open cardboard box in my closet). This seems to have a grind and moisture akin to McChrystal's O & G, but with a fairly strong but quickly fading anise/black licorice scent instead of MCChrystal's longer-lasting signature taste. I don't think this is a snuff I'd carry around with me, but I'm glad to have it in my growing collection of flavors. If you like anisette liqueur, Pernod, Absente, Jagermeister or other anise-flavored beverages then you may enjoy this snuff.

I like this snuff from time to time

Takes me back to the old days of drinking absinthe swiss le bleu.

The anise flavor is wonderful on occasion. Makes a wonderful mixer snuff cause of the STRONG anise. But by itself its not a daily flavor for me.
