• ファイル比較＆差分表示
  • フォルダツリーどうし、アーカイブファイル（zip, jar, war）の中身どうしも比較できる
• PortableApps.com Platform のポータブル版（WinMerge Portable）がある

インストール

• 普通に
• xdocdiffプラグインを追加すると、MS Word や MS Excel のファイルの中身の比較もできて便利

設定

• 日本語エンコーディング（特にEUC-JP）に対応させるには日本語版の使用は必須
  • WinMerge日本語版のページ には WinMerge Portable を日本語対応させる方法も書いてある
• 7-zipと連携させる
  1. Merge7z Interface Plugin Installer をダウンロードして走らせる
  2. WinMerge Portable の場合は 以下のオプションを選ぶこと：

     [X] Application specific installation
         PortableApps\WinMergePortable\App\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe
         [X]  Enable standalone operation
     

     • （注）Enable standalone operation を選ぶと、他にインストールされている 7-zip とは無関係になるので、最新のバージョンのDLLだけが追加される（古いバージョンのDLLは選択できない）
