<p>備考：僚車578（1985年廃車）はサンフランシスコ市営鉄道に譲渡されている。</p>
<p>
元神戸市電J形として1926年に製造され、1956年に大阪車両工業で車体を更新（鋼体はそのままに外板張替え）、550形557となった車両が1971年、神戸市電廃止を受け転籍してきたもの。その後方向幕の電動大型化や冷房装置取り付け等の改装を受ける。1985年以降、僚車が廃車となるただ1両残り運用されている。</p>
