Earth Raid Rift
The Golden King
Location : Shimmersands
- Stage 1: Kill Slave Driver 0/3
This is probably the hardest phase of the whole event. If you can get through this phase you will most likely be able to close this Raid Rift. The first phase consists of you killing three Slave Drivers. If you notice each Slave Driver has four Indepted Souls clustered around the boss. You must split up the Souls from the Slave Driver and kill the Slave Driver. If you can not control the Souls, they will usually one or two shot any non-tank. Once you kill the Slave Driver the Indepted Souls will run away and disappear. Do this three times and the phase is complete.
Pulling strategy: The Souls can be crowd controlled, using a Blade Dancer ability like Mass Subdue or using individual Rogues and Mages could assist a smaller or lesser geared raid pull allowing the Main Tank to grab aggro on the Slave Driver easier.
- Phase 2: Kill Transmorphic Shards 0/3
The second phase is quick, three Transmorphic Shards will spawn and the tanks will have to pick them up. Depending on the tank’s gear, only one tank may be needed. The only think you need to watch out for is their shields. One will reflect damage, the other reduces incoming damage. Attack the Shards without the shields and kill them.
- Stage 3: Kill Grawl
The third phase has you killing Grawl. He has a few different damaging abilities. One is a pulsing AOE, the other is a direct damage ability on the tank, and the third is a random target direct damage effect. Once he gets to low health he will knockback everyone in melee range and spawn crystals that will protect him. Kill the crystals and finish up Grawl.
- Bonus Stage 1: Kill Crumbling Hulks 0/2
These guys are easy enough. Two Hulks will spawn, each tank will have to take up one. Once one Hulk is death he will split into two adds. Each add then splits in to two more. Have your DPS focus on one Hulk and it’s adds at a time. If you are over geared, or have a lot of people, you can easily DPS down both at the same time your tanks are geared enough and have enough control on AOE targets.
- Final Bonus Stage: Kill Auricorus 0/1
The last stage has you fighting the large sentinel that was standing in the ring of adds the whole time. Auricorus is pretty easy fight. He doesn’t do too much damage, and only one ability does light AOE damage. What you will have to watch out for is when he begins to cast Call to the Core. This ability is a quick cast spell that allows him to cast Earthquake. This ability will knock you back and most likely kill you on the first hit. You will have time though to avoid it if you immediately run out of melee range once he begins to cast Call to the Core. If you can avoid that attack, your raid should easily be able to win.
