わが国の最高峰にして、日本を象徴する名山。
標高3,776ｍは、世界的にみて特筆すべき高さではないが、
いずれの山系にも属しない独立峰であり、大きく裾野を広げた雄大かつ優美な
姿を有することから、世界的に有名な山となっている。
他方で、約300年前を最後に噴火してはいないものの、現在に至るまで活動が観測されている活火山でもある。
わが国では古くから信仰、美術、文学等の対象となっており、その存在は日本文化に深く根付いている。
そのため、風景のみならず、精神的にも、日本を象徴する山といえよう。

Above sea level 3,776m : though the height is not worthy of special mention in the world, Mt. Fuji is independent peak that doesn't belong to any other chain of montains and has magnificence and delicate figure with greatly expanded skirts, so it is famous worldwide.
And also it is an active volcano where the activity is observed still now though it hasn't erupt for about 300 years.
In our country, it is the object of various things such as belief, art, and literature since old age and its existence takes root deeply in the Japanese culture.
Therefore, Mt. Fuji is the symbol of Japan in not only the scenery but also the spiritual view.

岩手県西磐井郡平泉町の中尊寺にある仏堂。
奥州藤原氏が天治元年(１１２４年)に建立した。
金色堂は名の通り内外ともにすべて金箔を貼って仕上げられている。
金色堂の中には奥州藤原氏３代のミイラが安置されていた。
今では、国宝にも指定され世界遺産に登録しようと県が一丸となっている。

Konjikidou is the main structure of Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi of Iwate Prefecture.
Oushu Hujiwarashi, the powerful family of there built it in 1124.
Konjikidou means "Golden Temple", and its wall is gilt with gold foil as its name.
There were mummys of Oushu Hujiwarashi family.
Now Konjikidou become national treasure and the movement to register for World Heritage Site is running.

「モネの庭」は、2004年に静岡県浜松市で開かれた花の国際博覧会のために設けられた花園です。
その名の通り印象派の画家クロード・モネがフランスのジヴェルニーに設けた庭園を再現しています。
現在は博覧会の会場は浜名湖ガーデンパークとして無料開放しており、気軽に訪れることができます。
もし春から夏にかけて日本を訪れることがあれば立ち寄ってみてください。名画「睡蓮」のように池に睡蓮の花が咲き誇る風景を目にすることができます。
"Monet's Garden" is flower garden that was made for the international flower exposition in Hamamatsu City, Sizuoka Prefecture, in 2004.
As its name, it is the re-creation spot of the garden that Claude Monet, the famous Impressionnisme artist made in Giverny of France.
Now there is opened for free as Hamanako Garden Park and so you can visit there easily.
If you will visit japan in spring or summer, try to visit there. And you will be able to see the pond of water-lilies as like the famous art.
