Madame lives in a big house in Paris.
Edgar looks after her and cleans the house.
Madame has a beautiful cat called Duchess.
She has three kittens.
One day, Edgar hears that Madame will leave all her money to the cats.
He cries. He wants the money!
That evening, Edgar makes a special meal for the cats.
They eat it with Roquefort.
But Edgar puts sleeping pills in their food.
Then he puts the cats in a basket.
Edgar rides away with the basket on a motorbike.
Two dogs scare him. He drops it.
The cats wake up beside a bridge. Rain is falling.
They don't know how to get home.
They meet a cat called Thomas O'Malley.
"Take this truck back to Paris," he says.
"I'll came too!"
When the cats reach Paris, the moon is shinning.
Thomas leads them to his house.
The cats look in the window.
Thomas's friends are having a party.
One is playing a piano!
The next day, Madame is worried about the cats.
They are not in their bed. The cats are outside her house!
Thomas walks Duchess to the gate.
He is sad to say goodbye.
But when the cats get inside, Edgar catches them in a big sack.
Roquefort sees this.
Roquefort finds Thomas and his friends.
He says, "Duchess and the kittens are in trouble!"
Edgar shuts Duchess and the kittens in a trunk.
Thomas comes just in time and jumps on Edgar.
Thomas's friends come to help!
Roquefort opens the lock.
Duchess and the kittens get out.
Bang! The horse kicks Edgar into the trunk and Thomas shuts it.
The cats are safe! Madame is happy.
She takes a photo with her camera.
"You too, Thomas," she says. "Smile!"
