I have failed,and they know it. They blame me. They should. I swore to protect this town, but I can't. The streets decay before our eyes. The curse we always feared has come upon us. Worse yet,The Order has returned,kidnapping and killing with impunity,brainwashing those they take in an effort to rebuild their flock.
Whether they want to punish us for the exodus of our forefathers-or simply to breathe new life into the old ways,I don't know. But they've taken our people.
The only thing left is to face the source of this evil,to fight it,and pray that some hope can be restored. My sole consolation is that I've finally opened my eyes to the evil in Silent Hill.

彼らは、我々を祖先の脱出の理由で罰したいのか－または、単に古い道に新しい生命を吹き込むためなのか
いずれにせよ、彼らは我々の身内を連れて行った。
残った唯一のものは、それと戦う為に、この悪の起点に向かい、若干の望みが回復することを祈ることだ。
最後に、私がサイレントヒルで悪と面することが私の唯一の慰めだ。

Alex :Listen to me,Mom. start telling me everything you know about this!

Mom :I don't know what that is.

Alex :STOP LYING! I'M TIRED OF IT! I know all about Silent Hill.
　嘘はもううんざりだ！俺はサイレントヒルの事を知っている

Mom :You don't know anything about Silent Hill!
　おまえはサイレントヒルの事は何も知らなくていい！

Alex :I know Dad went there. He went to go fight something.
　父さんがそこに行って来た事は知っている。何かと戦う為に行ったはずだ
Did he go to get Joshua? Is that where Josh is? God dammit,tell me!

　エル、俺思うんだけど…

Elle :Alex,she's gone.
　アレックス、彼女は行ってしまった

　誰が？

Elle :My mom. Ican't find her anywhere. The entire town's gone!
　私の母。何処にもいないの。町全体（みんな）が消えた！

Alex :I think I know where they are. I found this.
　俺はみんなが何処にいったか知ってる。これを見つけたんだ
I'm not sure what it all means,but we need to get to Silent Hill.
　確信はないけど、俺たちはサイレントヒルに行く必要がある。

Elle :Are you serious?
　本気なの？

Alex :My dad was serious enough to risk his life going there. That's where Josh is,I'm sure of it.

Alex :Wheeler. I thought we lost you.

Wheeler :Hell,you're not getting rid of me that easy.

Alex :Glad to hear it. We have a lot to fill you in on. In the meantime,can you get us a boat? We're going to Silent Hill.
　無事でよかった。おまえに詳しく話したい事が沢山ある。話は変わるが、ボートを用意できるか？サイレントヒルに行くんだ。

　選択肢がないだけさ

Alex :I know Joshua and I were told a hundred times never to go there.
　ジョシュアと俺はそこへ絶対に行くなと何度も言われた。

Elle :Yeah,my mom was pretty strict about it too.
　ええ、私の母もそれにはかなり厳しかったわ。

　行ったことがあるのか？

Wheeler :Didn't need to,I heard enough. When I decided to move east. I was looking at a job in Brahms,working with the police.
　そんな必要はない、聞いたんだ。東へ引っ越そうと決めた時に、ブラームスでの仕事を調べてたんだ、警官として働くために。当時、そこの巡査…名前は思い出せないんだが、彼女はサイレントヒルに行っちまった。

Elle :What happened to her?
　彼女に何があったの？

Wheeler :No one knows. They found her bike outside of town. But I heard rumors about the poople who live there.
　わからん、ただ町の外れで彼女のバイクを見つけたらしい。でも、そこに住んでいる人間についての噂は聞いたぜ。
Let's just say,they're not too friendly to people who don't share their beliefs.
　言ってみれば、信仰を分かち合えないやつにはひどい扱いをするらしい。

Wheeler :Yeah. When I met with your father about working in Shepherd's Glen,he told me I would never have to go to Silent Hill.

I guess there's some sort of irony here.

Wheeler :Alex. There's a light up ahead. I think we might be at the pier.
　アレックス、前方にライトが光ってる。多分防波堤に着いたんだ。

Alex :What should we do?
　どうすれば？

Wheeler :Turn off our light. I don't want anybody to know we're coming.
　ライトを消そう。俺たちが来てるなんて知られたくない。
