Tomorrow, my twin and I will have one more thing in common.
We both will not be able to breathe.

Yawn. It's almost dawn here in Kodiak. I'm not ready to wake up yet.
I'll just sleep a little longer. Need a wake up call for say 10am?

As dawn breaks here in Kodiak, I cannot sleep anymore.
Too much noise going on outside.
Time to get my flight suit on and have my coffee.

Ok, I'm suited up and ready for prelaunch briefing.
Guess I need another cup of coffee to stay awake. Ready to go!

All looks good. I've had my last cup of coffee before being bolted into my ppod.

Dream - My twin and I would play all day.
As little Nanosails, we would stretch our sails in the sun and dream of being Sailanauts one day!

ちっちゃなナノセイルたちは太陽に翼を広げて、いつか宇宙航海士になることを夢見てるんだ！
Still Dreaming - My twin went to sail school before I did.
He tried to be a sailanaut, but unfortunately ended up as an aquanaut. :(

僕の双子は、僕よりも先にセイルスクールに行ったんだ。
彼は宇宙航海士になろうとしてたんだけど、残念ながら潜水士になっちゃった(´･ω･｀)
I wanted to be like my twin.
Ikaros and I were in sail school at the same time and graduated the same year.
僕は彼みたいになりたかった。
IKAROSと僕はセイルスクールの同期生で、同じ年に卒業したんだ。
Wise Ikaros took the deep space courses at sail school and graduated first in class.
優等生のIKAROSは深宇宙コースを選択して、主席で卒業したの。
Since I was so small, I took the LEO classes.
My teachers though I should stay closer to home.
僕はとても小さかったから、LEO（低軌道）コースを選んだんだ。
先生たちは、僕が家から近いところにいるべきだって考えたみたい。
The very first graduate of sail school was Cosmos 1.
Unfortunately his trip ended in disaster, probably because he did not speak Russian.
一番最初にセイルスクールを卒業したのはCosmos-1だったんだけど、
不幸なことに、彼は事故で旅を終えてしまったんだ。
…ロシア語で喋らなかったせいじゃないかな、たぶん。
My wise mentor taught me the way to sail,and at graduation gave me part of his sails,
since he never received flight certification.
僕のすばらしい恩師は、僕にセイリングの仕方を教えてくれたよ。
でも彼は飛行許可をもらえなかったから、卒業の時にセイルの一部を僕にくれたんだ。

地球のどこかにソーラーセイルの学校があるらしい…
それよりもむしろイカロス君が優等生だってことの方が驚きですが。
まあ確かにセイル展開成功・光子加速実証・姿勢制御実証と快挙尽くしのイカロス君は”優等生”と言えなくもないか…
