They admitted inventing its kinky features, or rather deliberately mistranslating them from the original gossip magazine. |
In fact, this is far from the general Japanese' behavior or sense of worth. |

Friday 8/4 By NW(Nathan Westby)
The fact that professional baseball player lives in the vicinity of a boutique run by a convicted panderer wouldn't be enough to make most newspapers.
But when Hideo Nomo, the strike-out artist for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss are the names involved, you can stop the presses.
In its most recent issue, Friday introduces a “surprise”statement it fetched during an interview with Fleiss at her Santa Monica shop.
The Hollywood madam autographed two T-shirts for Dodgers teammate Mike Piazza to give to Nomo.
While this is hardly a crime, its enough to get tongues wagging.
Fleiss was freed on 200,000 dollars bail in May pending an appeal of a conviction that she ran a prostitution ring where jet-setting clients spent thousands of dollars for a night with the woman of their dreams.
Nomo lives alone in the Santa Monica area, the same general ballpark in which Fleiss's boutique is found.
Moreover,he is living separately from his beloved wife and child during his Major League stint, and perhaps,Friday speculates,he's lonely.
The Tornado's unique pitching style, composure under pressure, Japanese heritage and especially his winning ways have made him a star in Los Angeles.
The price for infield seats at Dodger Stadium gofor nine-times the regular rate on day(or nights)when Nomo starts
As for Fleiss, her shop is a magnet for celebrities.
Friday quotes her,“There's Madonna,Snoop Doggy Dog, Whoopi Goldberg,Brad Pitt and, just so many famous people that I can't remember.”
She goes on to list more, including Piazza, the catcher for the Dodgers who has been so good to Nomo.
Which brings us back to the “surprising”remark, that is the cause of concern.
She tells the Friday scribe,“Oh! By the way,Piazza was in here the other day. He told me to put my signature on two T-shirts he said he was buying for Nomo. ”
And the reason she agreed to sign the T-shirt was not because she likes Piazza but because, she said,“I'm sort of a Dodgers fan, too, you know.
And I want Nomo to do as well as he can.”(NW)
