The 4 colored Poring Hairpins can be taken to the BigHairPinRX75 Machine to add enchanted slots to them. The success rate is 45% so many headgears may need to be accumulated to get the desired stat bonus. Each of the 6 basic stats can be enchanted from +1~+5.
If the King Poring Hat is upgraded to +7 it can be exchanged at the BigHairpinRX75 machine for a Costume version of the same hat but will contain no stats.
King Poring Event arrives on Renewal! The gigantic king of the porings appears in the south Prontera Field! Defeating him will cause Poring Coins to rain down, which can be traded in towards fun prizes including colored poring hairbands which can be enchanted and King Poring himself (in hat form) which can be transformed into a costume. I'll have a event page up soon for this. This event will be in for four weeks. The server will only announce when King Poring is revived/died if you are at South Prontera field.
King Poring has plant defense, thus each attack hits him for 1 damage (?).
When King Poring dies, coins drop around the whole map in a span of ~30 seconds (so the coins don't all drop at once). They disappear like normal dropped items, and porings eat them a lot.
King Poring is revived 30 minutes after he dies; the server will announce when he spawns and when he dies.
Headgears:
The coin machines are located at South Prontera near Kafra.
There are 5 headgears; 4 different colored Poring Hairpins and 1 King Poring Hat.
They are all fully tradable/vendable, including the King Poring Costume Hat.
You can +7 the King Poring Hat and make it into a costume, and the costume will lose the effects from the original hat.
You can enchant the colored hairpins for stats, with a 55% chance to break per try. It costs nothing to enchant.
Highest enchant I've gotten is +2 stat, but I'm assuming it goes up to & limited at +3 stat.
