Before today, Ypres has been known only as an important merchant town and a Bishop's residence. Now war has come to Belgium and its strategically important location makes it the key to Flandres. British and Belgian soldiers are rushing to prepare defensive positions on the city's outskirts as the vanguard of the German 4th and 6th armies advance from the east. Today rifles and cannon will decide the fate of Flandres!
