- 1900年代〜1920年代の英米のライトクラシック（Light Classic）を収録している
- The Palm Court Orchestraは、Anthony Godwinが父から受け継いだもので、この時代の楽曲を再演することを目的とする楽団である
- 20世紀初頭は、ホテル、デパート、レストランをはじめとして各施設が独自の楽団を所有しており、BGMとなる軽快で新しい（Novelty）楽曲が求められた
- ヨーロッパではとくに、インターメッツォ（Intermezzo）やアントラクト（Entr'actes）といった、オペラやコンサートの曲間に演奏される品が求められた
- アメリカからはラグタイムが到来し、またクラブなどで好まれたポピュラー音楽も楽団のレパートリーに含まれた
- ドックサイドダイナーで使用されるFiddlesicks RagやHe'd Have to Get Under - Get Out and Get Underなどはこれにあたる
