The first album was released in 1997, with a new bass guitarist. Their music was some kind of funk-rock in the beginning, and known artists worked as guests on their albums, and in their music videos. They released several succesful albums, won many prizes, two Viva Comet Best Group prizes, too, and now they are the most popular boy-group in Hungary. Their melodic, funky related rock music gets a lot of fans for them, as well as the "bad-boy" style, what they use. Though one member left the group in 2007., they don't stop playing, and they made their last videoclip with their fans. This deeply emotional song talks about the singers life, which is quite joyful, and he doesn't want it to end. His only wish is, that all of the good and nice things, which surrounds him, be the same forever. ***Rúzsa Magdi Rúzsa Magdi is very new in music industry, but she became the biggest star in a very short time. Her career started on the singer-contest Megastar. She won the contest in 2006., but before that, she sang so many great songs in its turns every week, that she had as many fans as the most famous stars. She was in the newspapers, tv shows, radios, and it was almost clear, that she will be the first. After that, she made her first album, gave a lot of live performances, for example she sang on the Connection Concert, in front of 200.000 people. She also got plenty of prizes, platina-discs, etc., and she succesful performed in the Eurovision Song Contest, among singers from all Europe. This song is one of her first own songs. She sang known hits in the contest from famous artists. This song is quite sad, and angry, she sings to her love, who betrayed her for an other woman, asking why he left her and she complains, because she is lonely without him. ***Kispál és a Borz - De szeretnék / Wish I Kispál és a Borz was founded in 1987. But first record was distributed in 1991, when they were a well-known concert-band in all over Hungary. After the first steps they made many great albums. At the middle of 90s the Kispál won national music prizes, and they were getting one of the most important bands of Hungarian alterock music. The members of the group were often changed during the 20 years. Their special alternative rock music and irregular, artistic lyrics get a lot of fan nowadays, too. Kispál is one of the most frequently playing band in Hungary, they give about 100 concert in a year. This song - titled "De szeretnék / Wish I" - was recorded withNémeth Juci, the female singer of a Hungarian band: Anima Sound System. This song has very special style, a little bit different than other Kispál songs, a combination of alterock and DnB. ***Torres Torres Dani was also a contestant of the Megastar Song Contest in 2005. Though he didn't win, it did not matter, because he got a lot of fans during the finals, mostly teenager girls, and it was clear that he would be able to make a career without the prize of the contest. However, needed a year to release his first album with his group, Veni Styx. It was a great succes, his career really started, and he got many prizes. His uniqe style makes him like-able for almost everyone, and the lyrics in his songs are very smart, and different from the average "pop-song-nonsense". He even parodize, or criticises the pop culture in his songs, for example in the introduced song called Europunk. In this song he talks against "artificial-made-pop-stars" and music producers, as well as using playback, and all the lies, that make the music industry the one that we know. ***Quimby Quimby is maybe the most known alter-rock group in Hungary, founded in 1991. First, their songs were in english only, but later they started to make more music with hungarian language, which made them more popular. Several members came and went, and in 1998., the album Dilligramm made them famous. They made more good music and a remix-album as well, and the group continously makes live performances, they have concerts almost every week. But they stayed a little undergound, because of the style they play. Their music style is bitter and depressed, the songs a little tragic but epic. That's why they are not widely popular, but have many-many fan, who love those songs full with with emotions, that could almost move them to tears. However, the song called Car on a Serpentine, is a bit happier, sort of ironic. That album, Breath Out, was a turning point in the band's life, when they "killed" their past, and start to follow a new way in music. The lyrics is kind of artistic, but has simple meaning, almost not at all. It talks about life as a car on the road, while it's rapidly leaving behind the things of the past. ***Zseda Zseda grew up in an average family, but she started to sing as a child. She learned from the best teachers, and sang on stage very early. She liked the attention so much, that she became an actress for three years, and played in many roles in theatres. That's why her appearence is so noble and elegant, and she's so ladylike. She joined the four-singer group, Cotton Club Singers, and they made several albums between 1997 and 2000. Their style was from the 30s and the 40s first, but later it became more modern. In 2001, she started a solo career, and released her first album in 2002, which was a huge success, and she didn't stopped getting prizes and being the No.1. female singer in Hungary since then. She performed a theme song of a hungarian soap-opera, which made her far more famous and popular. Her concerts usually take places in theaters, and she makes performances that greatly enthrall the audience. The song Motel is a very emotional, almost sentimental. It is full of love and sadness about the passing life, since we don't know how long can we love the one we want to. We can't decide the time of our life, but an hour in a room with the one we love can be felt like a whole life, and if it is over, we should just wait for our "next" life. ***Akos In 1987., he founded a group called Bonanza Banzai, inspired by Depeche Mode, and it made him well known and popular in the early 90s, though his family didn't want him to be a musician. The group broke up in 1995, and after that, he started to build his solo career in Hungary and abroad, too. He is not only a singer, he writes his own songs, both music and lyrics. He composed music to theatric performances, and he writes poems, too. He is mostly known of his serious, poetric pop songs, and he is a widely popular artist, who does not make cheap, forgettable hits, like most pop singers. The song "Ilyenek voltunk" is about a couple, who are old now and they remember their life, when they were young, and wild, remember the important things that they made. This was maybe the most popular song of him, although it is not very happy, but has serious meaning. ***Vad Fruttik The group was founded in 1996., and they played mostly known hits from other artists first. They made a lot of live performances, and won almost all contests for new artists. In 2006., they released their first album, which made them more famous and popular, and they play on concerts really often. Their music is some kind of pop music with guitars, electronic samples and sometimes jazz and bossa nova elements. The song "Sárga zsiguli" uses many interesting parts, gipsy-talk like quotes, esperente rapping, and it has an atmosphere of the 80s and the street life of a ghetto-like district in Budapest. The lyrics has no direct meaning, most of it is just playing with words, and some talk about ordinary things from ordinary people's life. ***Yonderboi Yonderboi's story is very interesting. He was borned in 1980, and started to make music when he was 13. In 1999, he made his first album, Shallow and Profound, but it didn't became succesful in Hungary. Instead, it was a great hit in Western-Europe, and in many other countries worldwide. While he was a star abroad, most of the hungarians didn't know him at all. Fortunately, later he became more famous in his own country, mostly due to movie themes and concerts. His second album was better welcomed (Splendid Isolation, 2005.), but he still not as famous in Hungary, than he would deserve it. He could be described by the word: underground. He is not broadcasted on tv, but people who visit festivals and clubs know him well. His music is not very fast, you maybe want to listen it sitting on a sofa, while you let your fantasy fly absolutely free. These songs are truly not happy ones, they are a little dark. They sound best on a rainy sunday afternoon, when you look outside the window watch the clouds and the drips falling from the sky. The song called People always talk about the weather is maybe the closest to that feeling. It is from the second album, and it was maybe the biggest hit from that. The singer is from a popular hungarian group called Heaven Street Seven. Just listen to the song, and you will really feel, what a rainy autumn day is like. ***Jecy mix coming soon....
