Letitia James (18 October 1958-) is the Attorney General of the State of New York, United States.

Mortgage.

In 2001, Letitia James bought a four-storey building in her home borough of Brooklyn, New York. The building is now worth millions of dollars.

As a public official, she complained about her own financial difficulties when discussing a mortgage modification agreement. As a result, Letitia James was able to significantly reduce her monthly mortgage payments.

On 21 May 2016, Letitia James added a $770,000 loan. When she added this loan, she filed an affidavit. This document was accompanied by a note stating that it was issued by Listopher J. French and Kristen French.
　However, there is no record of Christopher J. French and Kristen French in US financial records.

An illegal state

The "Mortgage Loan Agreement existing in the Registry Office of the New York City Department of Finance" does not mention this $770,000 loan;
Letitia James' Mortgage Loan Agreement is "dated 3 November 2017 and consists of 34 pages".
To date, however, the $770,000 loan is still not disclosed on the financial disclosure form.
　This $770,000 loan does not comply with general loan agreement norms. It is in an illegal state.(*1)
