Power lines
Power lines carry power from solar and coal power stations to substations. Power lines connect to the top left corner of each of the three types of icons, solar and coal power stations and substations. The example below shows a substation being fed by a solar power station, using power lines.
Power lines can cross tracks, roads, railways and rivers.
Crossing transport and rivers
Power lines cross UNDER tracks, roads, railways and rivers.
If a power line is placed either side of a transport or river area, they act as if they are joined. See the examples below.
Often you will have to bulldoze a bit of river to do this, it's expensive! None of these 3 bits of power line are joined.
The leftmost one is not connected because it tries to go under 2 river blocks.
The right ones are note joined because they must be in a straight line to connect.
