**概要
ナムコが1997年より稼働を開始したアーケード競馬レースゲーム（[[公式ページ>>https://bandainamco-am.co.jp/am/vg/finalfurlong/]]の表記では「騎手体験ゲーム」）。
翌1998年には続編の『[[ファイナルハロン2]]』が稼働した。

音楽は『[[ダンシングアイ]]』でメインコンポーザーを務めた Ototo こと高橋みなも氏。
アメリカ南部の草競馬をイメージしたという。

[[2006年のE3に同名タイトルのWii版が展示された>>https://web.archive.org/web/20060521051827/http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707335p1.html]]ようだが、発売には至らなかった模様。
