ジェレミー・ソウル
アメリカで活動しているゲーム音楽作曲家。現在はArtistry Entertainment Inc.(DirectSongレーベル)に所属している。
音楽を個人レッスンで学び、19歳の時に
スクウェア（現
スクウェア・エニックス）の北米シアトルスタジオ(SQUARE SOFT, INC)に入社。
『
聖剣伝説2』の海外版続編的作品である『
Secret of Evermore』の楽曲を手がける。
1996年、シアトルスタジオ閉鎖の際に退社して、シアトル都市圏内のHumongous Entertainmentに入社、Humongousの開発部門であるCavedog Entertainmentが制作した『Total Annihilation』シリーズなどの楽曲を手がけた。
2000年、Humongousの親会社であるGT InteractiveがInfogramesに買収されたことで、Cavedog Entertainmentは閉鎖されることになり退社、同じくゲーム音楽作曲家である弟のJulian Soule氏と共にSoule Media（現Artistry Entertainment Inc.）を設立する。
ダンジョン・シージシリーズ、ハリー・ポッターシリーズ、The Elder Scrollsシリーズなど数多くの作品を手がけ、音楽に関する数多くの賞を受賞している。
特に『
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion』では2つ、『
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim』では3つの賞を同時に受賞しており、名声を不動のものとした。
世界的に有名な作曲家であるが、日本では手掛けた作品の知名度の低さからかあまり知られてはいない。
だが近年The Elder Scrolls
シリーズなどのヒットで、徐々に注目を集めつつある。
また海外の音楽投稿サイトに元
スクウェアの
植松伸夫氏に対するリスペクトとしてスクウェア時代の初仕事としてデバッグに参加した『
ファイナルファンタジーVI』の「
ティナのテーマ」のリミックスを投稿している。
