概要
Overkill Software,Starbreeze Studio中心に開発されるCrime系FPS。
ゲーム本体は高くないが、開発元がDLCで利益を得るスタイルを公言しており、有料、無料交えたアップデートがおおよそ月ごとに追加されている(新たなJOB、キャラクターなど)。他のゲームや映画とのコラボも多い。
追加されるJOBはそれごとに固有のBGMがあるのでもちろん曲も追加されていく。
なお、PS3とXbox360の更新は終了、PS4とXbox1の更新は非常に遅れがち。
収録曲の殆どは元Overkill社員(15年8月に退社、フリーに)であるSimon Viklundが作曲している。戦闘中のBGMは相手である警察の突入などのフェイズによってパートが分かれたものとなっている。
トレイラーに使われている曲も基本はSimonが編曲しており、ゲーム中ではメニュー画面などで流すことができる。
トレイラーBGMの歌や一部のコラボ曲などは別に担当がいる。
