概要

Edmund McMillenの『The Binding of Isaac』をリメイクした作品。
ストーリーは原作と概ねそのままで、グラフィックの書き直し、バランスの調整、アイテムの追加などが施されている。
ただしBGMは差し替えられていて、Danny Baranowsky氏ではなく音楽ユニットの「Ridiculon」が制作。
BGMは原作から変更となってしまったが、暗く・激しく・狂気に満ちたサウンド路線はしっかりと受け継がれた。
日本でも2015年に家庭用移植版版が『アイザックの伝説：リバース』としてピッキーより発売されている。
また、Steam版ではDLCとして『Afterbirth』と『Afterbirth+』がある他、ファンが制作したMODである『Antibirth』も展開されている。
