生活
- ゴミ出し
分別して、寮の敷地内にあるゴミステーションに出すだけです。曜日・時間を問わず出すことができます。三鷹市指定ごみ袋を使う必要もありません(ゴミを捨てるのに金がかからない!!)。 - 洗濯
各階のコインランドリー（1回100円）でできます。およそ30分です。干すときは、部屋または外・ラウンジの物干し竿が使えます。
乾燥機は30分100円ですが、だいたいの場合30分では乾きません。 - 荷物
宅配物は共用棟の事務室で預かってもらえます。いつでも受け取れて、煩わしい再配達がないってことです。実家から物資送ってもらい放題!! 事務室は0時まで空いているので、遅くに帰ってきても受け取れます。深夜に、実家から送られてくるこころのこもったダンボールを受け取ると、こころが安らぐ...
Daily life
- Waste Disposal
In Mitaka City, you must separate waste (combustible, non-combustible, and plastic). Once placed in separate bags, you just have to go and dispose them off at the waste disposal stations present throughout the dormitory. There is no need to use special bags, and waste can be disposed off at any time of the week. Very convenient compared to the rest of Tokyo.
- Laundry
There is a washing machine on every floor of the dormitory buildings, where you can wash one load for 100 yen a time. It takes about 30 minutes for one load.
There is also a clothes dryer which dries clothes for 30 minutes at 100 yen a time. However, usually 30 minutes is not enough to dry clothes completely.

- Delivery of goods
Delivery goods such as those of Amazon are received and stored at the common room. Take the delivery slip from your post box to the common room to collect your goods.

- The Common Room Office
The Office performs clerical tasks related to the dormitory such as collection of delivery goods in case of absence and other procedures. You can also contact them in case you need help regarding daily life in the dormitory.

吉祥寺との往復を想定しています。
【行き】
「新川通り」が一番近いです。しかし、「新川」のほうが多くバスが来ます。大して距離は変わらないので、「新川」でよいと思います。
降りるときは、終点「吉祥寺」で降りれば、駅の目の前に着きます。

吉祥寺駅前のドンキに行くと、目の前にバス停があります。そこから乗れます。

- 大前提として、側面の経由バス停表示に「新川」があるものに乗ってください。そうでなければ三鷹寮方向にはいきません。

一駅先の「三鷹中等教育学校」でもよいですが、帰りは暗い夜道です。

井の頭線で三鷹寮から近い駅は、吉祥寺・（井の頭公園・）三鷹台・久我山です。
- 吉祥寺
井の頭線の始発なのでラッシュ時も座れる。駐輪場の月極契約は2、3ヶ月待ちますが、１日利用100円で、24時間利用可能なところがあるので利便性は高いです(御殿山駐輪場。公営とatre運営の２つがあります)。他にも駅周辺には駐輪場がたくさんあります。学生証を手に入れたら、すぐに月極契約の予約にいきましょう！吉祥寺駅には井の頭線の他に、JR中央総武線、地下鉄東西線(直通)が通っています。東京駅、新宿、大久保(新大久保)、秋葉原、高田馬場などに１本で行けます。中央線の終電はめちゃくちゃ遅いので、夜遊びしたい人、歌舞伎町で遊びたい人はぜひ吉祥寺ユーザーになるべし。最寄り吉祥寺って言ってみたくない？ - 久我山
駒場までの距離は近くなるし、駅前の混雑も吉祥寺より少ないですが、2限までの時間帯はほぼ座れません。 - 三鷹台
三鷹寮からは最も近いですが、急行が止まりません。

Buses to and from Kichijoji Station
- To Kichijoji
Shinkawa Dori is the closest bus stop. There is also Shinkawa bus stop, located a bit further up ahead, where more buses stop. The difference in distance is not much.
- From Kichijoji
There are a lot of bus stops near Don Quijote, accessible from the Park Entrance of the Kichijoji Station. These are the ones to be used for returning to the dormitory.
Get on the buses which stop either at Shinkawa(新川)or Shinkawa Dori(新川通).

Train
The train stations closest to the Mitaka Dormitpry lying on the Inokashira Line are Kichijoji, Kugayama and Mitakadai.
- Kichijoji
It is the first station on the Inokashira Line, so you can find a seat even during rush hour. You can reach here by bicycle in about 20-25 minutes, and there are bicycle parking grounds where you can get a long term contract, but the wait is about 2-3 months. There are also places where you can park for 100 yen a day (Atre and 御殿山). Kichijoji station is quite a happening place as well, with a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars and malls.
Kichijoji Station also lies on the Chuo Line and Tozai Line, so places like Shinjuku, Okubo and Tokyo are accessible by one train ride.

Kugayama is closer than Kichijoji and the rush in front of the station is also less, but it is difficult to find a seat during rush hour(till the second period).
- Mitakadai
Mitakadai is the station closest to the dormitory, and the quietest too. However, the express train does not stop here.
I prefer Mitakadai because the bicycle parking grounds near the station are always open for long term contracts(no wait), and the fact therer are not too many people around the station. You can also drop by two supermarkets(Seiyu and Summit) on the way back to the dormitory.
