CASUAL CONTROLS


CASUAL CONTROLS ALLOW YOU TO PERFORM EASY LEFT AND RIGHT TURNS ETHER BY TILTING YOUR DEVICE OR BY USING AN ON-SCREEN DIRECTIONAL PAD.

THIS CONTROL SCHEME WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETURN YOUR PLANE TO STABLE, LEVEL FLIGHT IF YOU MOMENTARILY STOP TILTING OR USING THE DIRECTIONAL PAD.




SIMULATION CONTROLS


SIMULATION CONTROLS ALLOW YOU TO FULLY OPERATE THE PLANE BY USING ROLL, PITCH, AND YAW CONTROLS.

TURNING LEFT AND RIGHT IS NOT ASSISTED, SO YOU MUST PITCH WHILE ROLLING TO PERFORM HIGH SPEED TURNES.




GAME POINT


GAME POINTS ARE AWARDED AT THE END OF EACH MISSION OR SKIRMISH MACTH. GAME POINTS ARE USED TO PROMOTE OR DEMOTE YOU TO DIFFERENT RANKS.

REACHING DIFFERENT RANKS WILL UNLOCK NEW PLANES OR NEW AIRPLANE CONFIGURATIONS.

GAME POINTS ARE MAINLY AWARDED FOR DESTROYING OTHER PLANES BUT ALSO FOR COMPLETING MISSIONS, RECOVERING OR CAPTURING FLAGS, DESTROYING ENEMY BASES, AND WINNING CUSTUM GAME MATCHES.

DESTROYING HIGHER RANKED PLAYERS WILL AWARD YOU WITH MORE GAME POINTS. DESTROYING LOWER RANKED PLAYERS AWARDS FEWER POINTS.

YOU LOSE POINTS WHEN YOU ARE DESTROYED. THE AMOUNT DEPENDS ON YOUR SHOOTER'S RANK. CRASHING YOUR PLANE HAS A BIGGER PENALTY.




AUTO PILOT


EVERY JET FIGHTER IN THE GAME IS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTO-PILOT.

THE AUTO-PILOT CAN'T SHOOT, BUT IT CAN FLY WELL AND PERFORM BASIC EVASIVE MANEUVERS.

YOU CAN TOGGLE THE AUTO-PILOT AT ANY TIME DURING ANY GAME MODE BY TAPPING THE AUTO-PILOT BUTTON.




FIGHTER CONFIGURATIONS


EACH JET FIGHTER HAS MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS WHITCH FAVOR SOME STATS AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS. FOR EXAMPLE, ONE CONFIGURATION MIGHT INCREASE OFFENSIVE CAPABILITIES WHILE SACRIFICING SOME DEFENSE.

EACH CONFIGURATION ALSO HAS A SPECIAL PAINT JOB.

YOU CAN SWITCH BETWEEN DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS BY SWIPING UP OR DOWN ON THE PLANE SELECTION SCREEN.




PLANE ATTRIBUTES


WEAPONS


INDICATES THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE DONE BY A FIGHTER'S MISSILES AND MACHINE GUN.

ARMOR


INDICATES THE PLANE'S STRUCTURAL STRENGTH AND THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE IT CAN SUSTAIN BEFORE BEING DESTROYED.

AERODYNAMICS


INDICATES THE PLANE'S MANEUVERABILITY AND HOW QUICKLY IT CAN TURN AND EXECUTE SPECIAL MANEUVERS.

DETECTION


INDICATES THE PLANE'S RADAR RANGE AND REDUCES THE EFFECTIVE RANGE OF ENEMY RADAR.

RELIABILITY


INDICATES THE LIKELIHOOD THE PLANE'S SYSTEMS MIGHT FAIL WHEN TAKING DAMAGE.

SYSTEM FAILURES WILL TEMPORARILY DISABLE THE ABILITY TO CONTROL THE PLANE, FIRE WEAPONS, OR DEPLOY DEFENSES.

ONLY ONE SYSTEM CAN FAIL AT A TIME, AND RECOVERY TIMES ARE DIFFERENT FOR EACH SYSTEM.




BLACKOUTS AND REDOUTS


PERFORMING HIGH SPEED TURNS CAN RESULT IN EXCESSIVE G-FORCES WHITCH MAY CAUSE YOU TO TEMPORARILY LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS.

HIGH POSITIVE G-FORCES WILL CAUSE THE SCREEN TO GO BLACK, WHILE HIGH NEGATIVE G-FORCES WILL CAUSE THE SCREEN TO GO RED.




EJECTING


DURING MULTIPLAYER AND CUSTOM GAMES, EACH JET IS OUTFITTED WITH AN EJECTION SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM CAN BE ACTIVATED BY SHAKING YOUR DEVICE WHEN THE JET'S STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY DROPS BELLOW 20%.

NO GAME POINTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM YOUR SCORE FOR SUCCESSFUL EJECTIONS. IT IS USELESS TO EJECT IN SURVIVAL MODE.




SQUADRON COMMANDS


TAPPING THE SQUADRON COMMAND BUTTON WILL ORDER YOUR WINGMEN TO ADOPT ONE OF THREE DIFFERENT TACTICS.

STAY IN FORMATION


YOUR WINGMEN WILL ATTEMPT TO STAY IN FORMATION WITH YOU, ATTACKING ONLY NEARBY TARGETS.

DEFEND ME


YOUR WINGMEN WILL BREAK FORMATION AND ATTACK THE TARGET CLOSEST TO YOUR PLANE.

ATTACK


YOUR WINGMEN WILL BREAK FORMATION AND ATTACK TARGETS ON THER OWN.




MACHINE GUN TARGETING


WHEN AN ENEMY IS WITHIN RANGE OF MACHINE GUN, A SMALL CROSS WILL APPEAR IN FRONT OF IT, INDICATING WHERE YOUR SHOULD AIM YOUR MACHINE GUNS.

THE CROSS IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE BASED ON YOUR TARGET'S CURRENT HEADING AND VELOCITY, SO YOU WILL STILLL NEED TO RELY ON YOUR SKILL AND JUDGEMENT DURING A DOGFIGHT.




TIPS AND TRICKS


FLARES ARE ONLY EFFECTIVE FOR 5 SECONDS AFTER BEING DEPLOYED.

SPECIAL MANEUVERS WILL ALWAYS SLOW YOUR PLANE AND WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WHEN THE PLANE IS STALLING.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPEED BEFORE ENGAGING IN A SPECIAL MANEUVER.

INCOMING MISSILES ARE ALSO SHOWN ON YOUR RADAR.

PASSING UNDERNEATH BRIDGES AND STRUCTURES IS A GOOD WAY TO GET RID OF ANYONE TAILING YOU.
