概要
カプコン開発の潜水探検アクションゲーム。サイドビューで進行する2D探索型アクションゲーム。
プレイヤーは「潜海者」となり、広大な海の中を探索し、深海の底を目指す。
音響面がとても作り込まれており、まるで本当に海底にいるかのような環境音が用意されている。
実際にBGMや効果音のほとんどがスタジオ内の水槽で録音されているというこだわりぶり。
音楽はベルリンで活動するドラマー、青島主税氏が作曲。アンビエント主体の落ち着いた感じの曲が中心。
メロディーと環境音とが一体になったサウンドは、海底を冒険するという臨場感を見事に表現。
クリア後に自由にBGMを聴ける「自動演奏装置」が追加。
