In the year 1000, the total population of mankind was around 300 millions. It has grown up to nearly 7 billions now.
We have a lot of bodies around, don't we?
And we always have a sufficient number of spirits to run those bodies. We never run short of spirits.
However, we take and audit one of them and we almost always find he has spent quite a few past lifetimes as a human being here on earth. We are not in the middle of the time of a great immigration from some other planet.
Although some recall being animals other than homo sapiens, they aren't a majority of the memory retainers. We are not having a great number of ants reincarnating into as many human beings.
Therefore, my reasonable assumption is that a spirit splits. Each year, 0.312% of the spirits split into two. If you consider generations to be 25 years apart, roughly 8.10% of the spirits split to meet the need of the bodies increasing in number.
If the average length of the lifetimes is 75 years, 26.32% of the spirits split within a lifetime.
Now, if a guiding spirit should be a genuine spirit and each one of us in meat should have one guiding spirit on average, the average splitting rate will rise to 32.98% within a lifetime.
