概要

メガドライブで展開していたイルカのアクションアドベンチャー『エコー・ザ・ドルフィン』のドリームキャスト版。
ハードの進化によってグラフィックが3Dになったほか、海洋の描写も一層鮮明に。ただし難易度はかなり高め。
海外ではプレイステーション2版も発売されている。

音楽は著名なゲーム音楽作曲家であるティム・フォリン氏によるもの。ムービーシーンの曲はアッティラ・ヘイガー氏が作曲している。
セガのプロデューサーがコモドール64時代のティム氏の音楽のファンだったために、当時フリーだったティム氏に作曲を依頼したという。
ゲームのイメージとぴったり合った透き通るようなニューエイジ系の曲が中心。昔のティム氏の作風とは大きく違うがサウンドの質は非常に高い。
ちなみに全曲内蔵音源によるものらしい。残念ながらサントラは未発売。
