The mothership is too slow to scout for Rez on its own, so it deploys a short range warp beacon that can transfer ships and Rez back and forth instantly.
You can find Rez by destroying asteroids with weapons fire (MOUSE1).
Fly over Rez to load it into the cargo hold.
Return to the beacon to automatically transfer Rez back to the mothership for processing.
You chan see your processed Rez count in the upper left corner of the screen.
Keep an eye on how much cargo space your hips have. The more full the cargo bay, the slower that ship will go.
Be aware that smaller ships can not carry large deposits of Rez.
If you do not have a large enough ship, you can always break Rez apart with weapons fire.
