専門家はあなたの母艦上で配置することで様々な恩恵を得ることができます。
専門家は配置することで経験値を得てレベルアップすることができます。
専門家は、母船の近くにいる間だけ配置&交換することができます。
配置できる数や所持できる最大数はストーリーが進むことによって増えていきます。

専門家は大まかな品質で分けられており、専門家を囲む線で判断できます。貴重な専門家ほど手に入れにくくなり、また、大型船であるほど専門家が見つかる可能性が高くなります。

Rare(めったにない)	12%
Elite(選ばれた者)	6%
Godlike(神のよう)	3%

専門家にはたまに気質を持っている者がおり、それを満たしていると能力に33%のボーナスが得られます。
気質がある場合は経験値バーの下に表示されます。さらに気質の条件を満たしていればその下にBONUS ACTIVE (+33%)と表示され、パラメーターが緑色になります。

Flirty or Man's Man: 男性と仕事をするのが好き
BFF or Letch: 女性と仕事をするのが好き
Jealous or Fool: 女性がいないと幸せ
Roid Rage: 男性がいないと幸せ
Friendly: 誰かがいるだけで幸せ
Outcast: 民間を憎む
Militia: UTAを憎む
Ex Military: UTAとの良い関係を好む
Civie: 民間との良い関係を好む
Miner: 採掘システムを好む？
Bastard: 弱いシステム？を好む
Warrior: 強いシステム？を好む

公式フォーラムでファイルを解析したスレッドがあり、それによると以下の気質も存在しているかもしれません。(公式wikiではMilitiaが書かれていませんでしたが、自分のプレイで発見したので追記してます)

LONER: Works best alone
OUTLAW: Hates UTA and CIVS
XENOPHILE: Prefers infected systems
MINER: Likes colony systems
SCIENTIST: Likes science systems

Specialists can be placed in command positions on your mothership.
Each specialist has a unique set of skills that will increase if they are active when you level up. Higher level systems will have higher level specialists with higher base skills.
Some specialists are also better than others, having a gar greater array of skills available.
These specialists also usually have bonus requirements that if satisfied will increase their power by 33% Specialists can be viewed from the HANGER VIEW (F3).
Specialists can only be swapped while near the mothership.

Flirty or Man's Man: Likes to work with men
BFF or Letch: Likes to work with women
Jealous or Fool: Happier without women
Roid Rage: Happier without men
Friendly: Likes a team
Outcast: Hates CIVS
Militia: Hates UTA
Ex Military: Prefers good UTA relations
Civie: Prefers good CIV relations
Miner: Likes mining systems
Bastard: Likes weaker systems
Warrior: Likes stronger systems
