今聴くと窮屈ですなあ。

生みの親ブルーノートからワーナーに移籍して第一作目。とりあえず売れるやつがいいのか。うーん何したらいいんだろう。あれ、イージーリスニングができちゃった。そんな感じ。頭で作ってるから力んでます。で、出たものは小さいと。

曲目

3.は時々カバーされて色んな曲調になってます。笠井紀美子、ソウルボッサトリオなど。超有名なのはクインシー・ジョーズ（アルバム「Stuff Like That」）。「隠れた名曲」だそうです。演奏も録音も窮屈な中で、はっとするセクシーなテーマ。拾いたくなる気持ち分かります。

いい時代ですな。CBSソニーの企画で、当時日本一のジャズヴォーカリスト笠井紀美子（全盛期だったんですって）がハービーの曲をカバー。日本公演のついでにご本尊とツアーバンドがバックで演奏しちゃいました。これほどの贅沢があるでしょうか（今はスマップとかがもっと贅沢してるけど）。で、皆さんファンクバンドじゃなかったの？やたらソフトなんですけど。好事家向け。
